লিচি একটি জনপ্রিয় গ্রীষ্মকালীন ফল যা মূলত দক্ষিণ চীন, ভারত এবং বাংলাদেশের বিভিন্ন অঞ্চলে চাষ করা হয়। এর বৈজ্ঞানিক নাম Litchi chinensis। লিচি গাছ মাঝারি আকৃতির এবং চিরহরিৎ প্রকৃতির। লিচির খোসা খসখসে এবং লালচে রঙের হয়ে থাকে, যার ভিতরে থাকে সাদা, রসালো ও মিষ্টি স্বাদের শাঁস। লিচি গরমের দিনে খেতে খুবই … এবং এটি বিভিন্ন পুষ্টিগুণে সমৃদ্ধ। এতে প্রচুর পরিমাণে ভিটামিন সি, অ্যান্টিঅক্সিডেন্ট এবং পানি থাকে যা শরীরকে ঠান্ডা রাখতে সাহায্য করে।
বাংলাদেশের দিনাজপুর, রাজশাহী, ময়মনসিংহ ও চাঁপাইনবাবগঞ্জ অঞ্চলে বাণিজ্যিকভাবে লিচির চাষ করা হয়। লিচি সাধারণত এপ্রিল থেকে জুন মাসের মধ্যে সংগ্রহ করা হয়।

Litchi is a popular summer fruit primarily cultivated in southern China, India, and various regions of Bangladesh. Its scientific name is Litchi chinensis. The litchi tree is medium-sized and evergreen. The outer skin of the litchi is rough and reddish in color, enclosing a white, juicy, and sweet-flavored pulp. Litchi is very refreshing during hot days and is rich in various nutrients. It contains a high amount of vitamin C, antioxidants, and water, which help keep the body cool.
In Bangladesh, litchi is commercially cultivated in regions like Dinajpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, and Chapainawabganj. Litchis are typically harvested between April and June.
